![]() vmx file for the virtual machine and the vmware.log files should now be visible. Right click on it, and select 'Show Package Contents'. In the Finder window that appears you should see the virtual machine. We’re all so very proud of what our small team has been able to achieve in the face of all kinds of challenges, so it brings me tremendous joy to share this message. Right clicking the virtual machine in the Virtual Machine Library, and selecting 'Show in Finder'. Workstation makes ESXi the best it can be by supporting an immeasurable number of scenarios and use cases and allowing us to test new capabilities, while ESXi helps make Workstation the leading desktop hypervisor app thanks to 20+ years of investment in enterprise reliability built into the platform.Īll of this is in support of our continued effort to deliver the world’s leading hypervisor platform for the desktop and the data center. Meanwhile with Workstation on PCs we continue to refine the VMware hypervisor platform at immense scale with new virtual hardware capabilities, improved security features, and important updates for supporting new versions of Linux and Windows.īecause the Desktop Hypervisor apps share the same code as ESXi, they continue to improve each other, combining their strengths with the breadth and reach of the community. It’s just like opening the lid on a brand new PC.Īdded to that our support for DirectX 11 Graphics for native arm64 and emulated x86/圆4 apps, ultra-high performance drag-drop and copy-paste, Fusion is the best it’s ever been. With Fusion 13.5 we’ve made not only getting a copy of Windows 11 for Arm easy to do, but we’ve gone the extra step to add all the necessary drivers for Networking and Graphics before installing the OS to give you the most natural “Out Of Box Experience” of any desktop hypervisor platform. We brought some amazing features to the product centering around dramatically improving our Windows 11 for Arm support on Macs with Apple silicon. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to keep the momentum going within the VMware Cloud Foundation Division of Broadcom that our small but nimble team has been able to deliver this year. As well, folks will continue to be able to download and use the “Free for Personal Use” editions of Fusion Player and Workstation Player the same way they did previously. Users will continue to be able to purchase and use our favorite desktop hypervisor apps the same way they have been for the past several years. I did update VMware Tools in this VM just for good measure, but no joy. In a nutshell: VMware by Broadcom is committed to our focus on the desktop hypervisor products and platform, today and into the future. I dont have the problem in other Macs running Fusion, even the same Windows 10 VM. I’m happy to finally be able to answer that with some good news! Our new Senior Vice President and General Manager Krish Prasad, who has been a long-time Desktop Hypervisor supporter, today published some news about how we’ll be transforming the VMware business within our new home at Broadcom.īut one big question that we’ve been hearing from many of our customers is “What will become of the Fusion and Workstation product groups?” Tried searching Google and can't find much so that's why I came here to ask.Now that our acquisition by Broadcom has successfully completed, the integration into our new home is well underway. I also manually deleted all of the Application Support, Preferences, and Cache files related to VMware Fusion 13 Player app after uninstalling said app but still not working. ![]() By the way, I'm not sure why thinprint was even enabled, my printer is a network printer and the guest is able to detect and use it directly as the host does. I already uninstalled the VMware Fusion 13 Player app, restarted the MacBook Pro, reinstalled again but still to no avail. Is there a way to fix this problem from within the VM, or it's settings? The problem now is with the Windows 10 and 11 VMs the VMX file is encrypted and I can't edit i. ![]() file and remove the serial0 lines and the problem is gone. ![]() Right-click your Ethernet Controller in that list (name may vary) and click Update Driver Software. Click the arrow to expand the Network Adapters section. Select Device Manager from the left pane. Anyway, on the Linux VMs I was able to edit the VMX. Click Start, right-click Computer and click Manage. This never happened under 13.0.2, or older versions, so I'm suspecting 13.5 dropped support for something. After upgrading my VMs, Linux, and Windows, Windows 10, 11, and Linux Mint, and Ubuntu, when starting the VMs I get the message about serial0 having an invalid filetype"thinprint' and will start disconnected. Hey all, just upgraded today from Fusion 13.0.2 to Fusion 13.5 (pro version) on a late 2015, 27" iMac running Monterey 12.7.
